Lucretia Holcomb

Lucretia has been unschooling since the birth of her first child. Her children are John, 19, and Lena 15. Lucretia is also a widow. She lost her husband, Bradley, suddenly in May 2014 leaving behind a 5 and 9-year-old with broken hearts. Moving forward and honoring the grief, unschooling has been a huge part of the journey. It is all about connection. In December 2021, Lucretia lost her family home in the Boulder, CO wildfires that claimed 1200 houses. Losing everything of Bradley's was a huge challenge and brought another layer of grief to the surface for her family. Learning to navigate trauma, Lucretia relied on Tapping, journaling, and therapy.
